Here are a few things to note:
When posting or replying to a message, you will see a toolbar called "Add Tags". This is the special codes required to do things like make text bold, Italics, Underline, font sized, etc. Simply click the icon and type your text where it says "TEXT".
On the second line of that box, you will notice other symbols that are not text related, but rather allow you to insert hyperlinks, display images, tables, bullets, etc. If you roll your mouse over a button, it will tell you what it does.
If you are linking to a web page, you can simply type the entire website address and it will appear as a hyperlink.
You can also use this to display pictures that are already uploaded to the internet by clicking the icon on the second row, 4th from the left. Be aware however that a) the picture must be on the internet, and b) this will not resize the picture. So if your picture is large, it will appear large on the screen, which can be very annoying.
If you have pictures of your own that you want to display, you can use one of the free hosting services. The one I have used a fair bit is www.imageshack.us
It will actually give you what you need to paste into your message to display the photo.
Again though, make sure the photo is reasonably sized, otherwise folks get annoyed when they see a 8" by 11" photo that they have to scroll across and down to see.
If you have other questions about using Proboards, please post them as a reply to this message and I'll do my best.
